1 – First of all, Maxim, for all our readers still not familiar with your brand. Can you please briefly tell us what Fintown is?

MV

Hello, dear readers. Fintown is a platform that allows every European citizen, regardless of their investment level, to invest and receive steady and substantial income from rental apartments in the Czech Republic.

 

2 – What would you say are the main competitive advantages of Fintown compared to other P2P platforms in the market?, as investors why should we choose Fintown vs other alternatives?

MV

There are several advantages to our platform, despite being relatively new. Firstly, we offer monthly interest payments on our primary product, Rental. Secondly, we provide opportunities to invest in rental real estate—essentially, in businesses that are currently generating income or will begin to in the coming months. Lastly, our unique concept sets us apart: we build and manage the apartments ourselves, granting us full control over the business and a level of flexibility that others lack.

 

3 – For me, one of the most appealing aspects of Fintown is that is powered by Vihorev Group, and making good use of all the experience and expertise accumulated by a group with over 64 million € gross development value… For those not familiar with Vihorev Group could you briefly explain a bit about the activity and numbers of the company?

MV

Today, our assets have experienced even further growth, and I anticipate we will soon update these figures. The valuation of assets that have been or are currently under the management of Vihorev Group over the past few years is $64 million. Initially, my goal was focused on the renovation and subsequent sale of assets. However, today, my approach has evolved: almost everything we build or restore remains under the group’s management. 

 

4 – Something that really catches my attention is that before creating Fintown, you were a Loan Originator in other well-know platforms such as Debitum, Upvest and Fundlift, how was the performance of your projects there and how was the experience / lessons learned from that period?

MV

Speaking of insider experiences, I can attest to having had a very positive journey with each platform, securing funding and, in return, fulfilling all obligations promptly. This experience was instrumental in launching one of my projects, which today not only profitable but also ranks among the top-rated apartments on Booking in Prague.

 

5 – What was the main motivation for creating your own platform, Fintown?

MV

The core idea is to establish a self-sustaining cycle involving the financing, construction, and leasing of real estate. Rather than selling these properties to fund new projects, a more innovative approach involves creating a model that allows others to also benefit from the property’s income, thereby creating a win-win situation for all participants. This strategy not only generates income efficiently but also equitably distributes it. In summary, the goal is to develop a framework that encompasses a closed-loop cycle of financing, development, and operation.

 

6 – In any case, one thing is certain: your investment proposal has undoubtedly gained popularity among investors, and I have already started seeing Fintown in the top of some of my monthly growth rankings. What are your goals in terms of volume invested, number of users, etc for this 2024?

MV

Rental investment opportunities indeed represent the most attractive and timely market, you are absolutely right. Our goal is to triple the volumes by the end of the year.

 

7 – Also another aspect very much worth considering is your outstanding rating in opinion aggregators such as Trustpilot, etc. also regularly appearing in the top 10 of the ranking I prepare every month. What is your secret for such a positive feedback from your community whereas other platforms seem to be struggling in this particular aspect?

MV

Our incredible support is one of our key strengths. We strive to be available for our investors at any time, literally. An important acknowledgment is that we are not perfect and have many areas to improve. Thanks to the feedback from our investors, we are committed to making improvements swiftly and delivering results promptly.

 

8 – What new functions / products etc. are you currently developing and what news can we expect as Fintown investors in this 2024?

MV

We are eagerly anticipating the launch of our referral program and Autoinvest—both expected to roll out in Q2 2024. Additionally, the opening of Ricany will significantly bolster our offerings, providing a solid number of classic Rental options on Fintown.
